I was reading in Proverbs this morning- Proverbs 24 actually- our Bible Study Fellowship lecturer encouraged us to read a Proverbs for each day of the month and it has been a great way to keep track of what chapter I am on…as long as I know what day of the month it is.
10 If you faint in the day of adversity,
your strength is small.
11 Rescue those who are being taken away to death;
hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.
12 If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,”
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it,
and will he not repay man according to his work?
It brought to mind all the women who are having abortions- all the innocent children whose lives are being lost- and how much this is hurting so many men, women, and children in our country. My heart breaks and aches.
What are we doing today to be an advocate for life? To be a loving support to those around us- to reach out to women who are pregnant and alone?
I pray that your heart would soften towards the cries of those who are being hurt by abortion- and that you would become an advocate supporting life in all circumstances.
