This book had been recommended to me and been on my list, but I hesitated because it was a novel. Before we left on vacation, I grabbed it on impulse (a nudging from God) and read most of it in the car.
It has been a long time since a book has stoked the fire of my passion for life like this.
The quote attributed to Edmund Burke kept running through my mind- All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
One of the points this book raised- will we take a stand before it’s too late?
The main character of the book is a young woman who works at a crisis pregnancy center. The pro-life movement has been ground down to almost nothing by legislation and lawsuits.
It follows the story of an underground group called “The Movement” who are willing to do anything to protect the lives of babies being aborted.
I highly encourage anyone to read this book, it will make you think and would be a great book for a group of peers to read and discuss.
Have you read it?
What did you think?
