All Things New

tenderness

God makes all things new.

The old has gone, the new has come.

He doesn’t throw away the old.

He makes us NEW.

Therefore, anyone that is in Christ is a new creation.  The old has gone, the new has come.

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

God makes us new.

He transforms us into the image of Christ.

Oh Lord, I want to be made new.  As you open my eyes I am continually humbled by the sin in my own heart and life.  Of the battle being fought- of the need for diligence and watchfulness.  For the enemy seeks to devour us.  I cling to your promises, that you are making me new.  And when I feel as though I will break under the burden of sin- you gently and lovingly call to me- come you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  You remind me- stop trying to do this alone.  I am here. You are so full of love and compassion.  As I hear you say, for I am gentle and humble of heart- I am filled with wonder and thanks.  Thank you for loving me, for not leaving me lost in sin, but rescuing me and bringing me into your marvelous light.  I feel my need for you so acutely today, it is a pain in my chest.  And I cry out in desperation- help me- save me- pull me out of this, or mold me through it- strengthen me, hold onto me.  Calm my fears LORD and give me rest in the shelter of your wings.  My hope is in You.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
