Lessons to Remember in Children’s Songs

Did you grow up singing Bible songs?  What were some of your favorites?  I love singing these songs with my children- many were songs my parents sang to me, or we sang at church when I was a child.  Here are some favorites.

The joy of the Lord is my Strength– just think about those words for a moment.  Wow- that just hit me like a ton of bricks while riding in the car singing with my kids.  The JOY of the Lord is MY STRENGTH!! (Nehemiah 8:10)

Rejoice in the Lord always–  yes, even on those bad days, even when things seem dark and gray. What a testimony we can be if we rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS.

This is the Day– This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it (Ps. 118:24 KJV)

Be careful little eyes what you see– other verses- be careful little ears what you hear, be careful little mouth what you say- for the Father up above He is looking down in love.

Such a powerful reminder of some simple truths of our faith- I hope that you will share any songs you sing with your kiddos that have simple, yet powerful, words.
